Waking Life

"Waking Life" is a sick movie. i especially like the guy that lights himself on fire as a symbol of protest. He refers to voting as picking the puppet on the left or the puppet on the right.

I also like the "Dreamers" conversation and the discussion about how the population of the world seems to significant for an individual to make a difference however we should take it upon ourselves to be examples for society.

Don't be an "ant" try to go out of your daily norms and mix it up with someone you wouldn't have normally.

The crayon box analogy. No matter how many colors you have to work with do the best you can with what you have and don't be afraid to draw outside the lines.

Society is exponentially improving in time, the human race will continue to progress away from violence and destruction and toward hope, peace, enlightenment etc.

First Post

I spent the night watching "Entourage" with two good friends and then could not sleep afterward.

I decided to create this blog for a few reasons; one my good friend Simone J. was an inspiration, two I want to be heard while being productive. My goal is to connect to people and exchange ideas. I plan on discussing everything from sports, money, politics, music, movies or anything that matters.

Everyday the weather is discussed, why because everyday it affects our daily lives. Is anything more important then what will affect the day your living in?

If people share constructive ideas with more of a fueled motivation I feel we can adapt and improve together quickly. I want to encourage individuality in congruence with an understanding of others opinions.

As a college student I spend a lot of time doing school work and worrying about money even while I know that those things may not be what matters in life. I work hard so I don't sell myself short and it is important to put that concept ahead of any letter grade or dollar sign. A friends father once said that it isn't the grade you get in a class but the information you get from the class which is an interesting statement considering that it means the two don't always equally reflect each other. The beauty of this experiment is that we can hear others opinions and there will be no grade attached to it. Instead we need to accept the fact that someone feels that way and accept that their ideas are a product of a common race, society etc.

I know I am probably rambling so I am going to end this quick. Another one of my hopes is to improve my writing especially within the structure of my posts.

Some things on my mind...

Entourage and my new found respect
Andy Pettite as the Yankees number five man
Posion Peanut Butter
Notorious B.I.G. bandwagoners
Barack Obama under the radar
Super Sweet Sixteen, Why is it on Mtv why is it on any tv?
